Why it helps

Money between friends shouldn't depend on memory

A loan starts with a conversation. Months later, dates have moved, payments went through different apps, and nobody wants to be the one asking what's still owed.

Lendship gives you both one agreement, one schedule and one record of what actually happened.

How it works

From a conversation to a signed loan

  1. 1

    Set terms

Either of you enters the amount, the payments and how you'll pay.

  2. 2

    Sign

You both review and e-sign the same agreement.

  3. 3

    Pay directly

Zelle, bank transfer or cash, paid straight to each other.

  4. 4

    Stay on track

You both see each payment as it's confirmed.

Features

One loan. One shared record.

Both of you see the same balance and schedule.

Nothing counts until it's confirmed

The person who pays records it. The person who gets paid confirms it.

Changes need both of you

The borrower can ask to move a date or pay a different amount. Nothing changes until the lender approves.

A reminder before every due date

By email, to both of you.

Paperwork

Clear paperwork. Complete history.

You both sign the same agreement, and Lendship keeps a dated record of every payment and approved change. Download it as a PDF for your records or your accountant.

Agreement template reviewed by a lawyer. Not legal or tax advice.

FAQ

Questions to ask before you start

Short, straight answers about money, privacy and what happens when plans change.

Does Lendship hold my money or lend it?

No. You pay each other directly, by Zelle, bank transfer, cash or however you agree. Lendship doesn't lend, hold or move money. It keeps the agreement and the record.

What if a payment is recorded but never arrived?

A payment counts only after the person who received it confirms it. If they mark it as not received, it stays owed and the schedule doesn't change. You can send it again with a receipt, or talk it through in the app.

Can we change the schedule?

Yes. The borrower can ask to move a date or pay a different amount. Nothing changes until the lender approves, and both of you see the change in the record. If there's no answer by the due date, the request expires.

What if the other person stops paying?

You both get a reminder before each due date and one notice if a payment is late. Lendship doesn't collect debts, contact anyone on your behalf, or guarantee repayment.

Who can see our loan?

Only the two of you. No public profiles or directory. Staff see a loan only for a support request, and that's logged.

Does Lendship report to credit bureaus?

No. Nothing you record on Lendship, including late payments, is reported to credit bureaus.

Is the agreement legally binding?

You both e-sign an agreement built on a template reviewed by a lawyer. How it applies to you depends on your state and circumstances, and Lendship can't give legal advice.

Can we add a loan we already made?

Yes. Enter what was lent and what's been repaid so far. Once the other person confirms and you both sign, it's tracked like any other loan.
